Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual since nine years old a useful ability that allowed her to secure her first job as a production assistant with Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She was born November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985, in Mexico City. There is an older sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother got married to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten a job. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school but already knew the things she wanted to do. As it turned out she loved the school and that they had the kind of program she was searching for. Her studies were completed and she was accepted to the University with a degree of media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. It was he who inspired her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm in Journalism touched her deeply. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations and never let him down.
